A Touch of Spanish in New York

One of my favorite Spanish artists is Marc Anthony and to my surprise he was born in New York City. He may have been more and raised in New York City but his does not forget his Spanish background, marc Anthony parent are form Puerto Rico and he embrace it as well.    Marc Anthony is a singer, songwriter, and actor. Marc Anthony is best known for his singing, the genre of music that he makes is salsa. To me he is one of the best male singers around. Marc Anthony has a one of a kind voice the reason I say this is because of all the different ways he can shape his voice to all of the songs. Marc Anthony songs are very good to listen to in any occasion and in whatever mood you are in. I can truly say that Marc Anthony is my favorite artist of all times.

Marc Anthony is the winner to countless Grammys and he has even won humanitarian awards. Marc Anthony has not always been a lead singer according to Bio. True Story “became an in-demand backup singer; lending his voice to acts such as Menudo and the Latin Rascals, ("Marc Anthony Biography")”. This shows that even with his great voice Marc Anthony did not make it to the top immediately. This makes me have more respect for him as an artist because it shows me that he really work to get to the position his is in today. And it makes me more proud to know that he is a New Yorker.
