New York City is the capital of the world". The place where I have known all my life besides Africa my original home. This place called the Bronx is where many others look down upon. Even though the Bronx is one of the best places to live everyone has their negative view of it. I have lived In the Bronx my entire life however I did visited other cities but it wasn't the same experience at all. In the Bronx I alway have access to transportation and I can also go to a grocery store whenever I wanted. Unlike other places I visited it wasn't the same experience at all.
In 2011 I left the place I called home for two weeks and traveled to “the birthplace of America, “Philly” which is known as Philadelphia. The two weeks I stayed there I felt like I was home sick, although I was spending some time with a lot of my family members that I haven’t seen in awhile I felt like something was missing. I wasn't very happy because everything was so different from the Bronx. I often spent most of my time watching TV because of the weather conditions and it wasn't anywhere else I could go. Transportation was very limited especially at night time which made it difficult to go places with the family unless someone had a car, but in the Bronx I never had that issue because transportation is available 24/7.
Throughout my two week stay in Philadelphia I had my ups and downs, despite the lack of transportation services and boredom I enjoyed being surrounded by lovely people. The neighborhoods were very clean and everyone seemed happy with their living conditions. Unlike New Yorkers we are always complaining and always rushing out the doors for work to maintain a good life. According to Article ("NYC vs Philadelphia") New York City is one of the largest cities in the United States which explains the population back in 2006 ,its stated that they are more people living in the city then in Philadelphia. I believe people choose to stay in NYC because of the lifestyle despite high rent and crime rates in New York City it is a good place to stay because we have good schools; affordable housing and we have many different options in terms of transportation however Philadelphia is not a stable place for some of us, only few can survive there. for instance if you have no access to a car its difficult to move around and everything is far away from most people homes, is not like the Bronx when you can walk out and go to a target store which might take you at least an hour or less to arrive at the shopping center..
In addition,New York is the place I call my home, living somewhere else would be very challenging for me because I am to use the New York lifestyle. fast pace and crowded trains and the Available resources we have is what makes me stay here.
