The street would get so crowed at times and the music would be so loud that the neighbors would call the police, and police would have to clear the area. The director of the movie Mr.Barrow said he wanted the movie to do for Brooklyn what the 1991 film "Boyz in the Hood" did for South Central Angeles: provide an honest account of urban life. Which it did, the movie showed the strugle of what it was to grow up in new york city and how life was not easy.
