You Theft

As a New Yorker I daily take public transportation. I am a commuter. The public being combined in one train brings you to see many things. There are a variety of people. I personally experienced a theft on a MTA public bus.
I was 15 years old and wanted a cell phone of my own, not a flip-flop cheap phone. So I did what any responsible person would do when they desired something. I got a job. I got a job baby-sitting a close friend’s child, while she was working. I saved up all my money for the Newest Blackberry out there.  I woke up every morning at 5 AM to go to work to ride New York City public transportation all alone. I personally took care of some-one else’s child and had responsibilities.
I finally saved money and purchased a Blackberry. I then started school in September. And in October my phone was already gone.
As I rode the Bx8 bus to go home from my wicked high-school, a guy got onto the bus and pressed the yellow tape button to get off the very next stop. (The yellow tape button informs the bus driver to stop at the next stop so someone can get off). I didn’t think anything negative from it; he was just too lazy to walk one stop. When the bus driver opened the door for a passenger to get off; the guy snatched my earned Blackberry between my legs and ran off the bus! He quickly ran the opposite way of the bus, he was a pro! He knew exactly what to do and when he got off the bus he ran up the hill where the bus was not going. It was all planned. I was shocked. A stranger really went between my legs and snatched my phone with force and ran away in broad day-light. The bus wasn’t even crowded.
My earned Blackberry was gone, and I had to continue out on this New York City bus to get on a New York City train to go home. That was a long depressing ride home. However, I am not the only one who went through a robbery in New York City Transit. According to CBS news in 2012 crimes in New York Transit has increased twenty percent. (CBS)
